Welcome to Plant Fit Meg
Hi, I’m Meg! 👋 Welcome to Plant Fit Meg!
Why “Plant Fit Meg”?
PLANT
I eat plants exclusively! I follow a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet and lifestyle. I am also vegan. I eat vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices. I do not consume animal products. I avoid highly processed foods and vegetable oils most of the time.
FIT
I have been interested in physical fitness for many years. I was a dance instructor for over 10 years and also taught Zumba for a few years. Unfortunately, there have also been times in my life when it was difficult to get out of the bed in the morning, because of severe chronic illnesses.
Since fully committing to a whole food plant-based lifestyle, I have way more energy, and I WANT to move my body daily. I have a deep desire to keep my body and mind active to maintain my health and reach new fitness goals. I currently enjoy strength training, calisthenics (body-weight training), dancing, and yoga. I enjoy running outdoors during the spring and summer months.
MEG
My name is Meagan, but my friends call me Meg. I am a cancer survivor and also suffered with several chronic conditions for many years: severe asthma, endometriosis, and undiagnosed chronic pain and fatigue.
Since switching to a whole food plant-based diet, I have fully regained my health and lost 80 pounds. I am off all medications, and am enjoying the best health I have experienced in my entire life! I share my story of healing and weight loss here on my website, and on my YouTube channel to show others that healing is possible. I also share lifestyle tips, recipes, weight loss, and fitness content to show others that living a plant-based lifestyle can be simple and fun!
I want to help others live a joyful plant fit life!
