I want to help others live a joyful plant fit life!
Why “Plant Fit Meg”?
I eat plants exclusively! I follow a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet and lifestyle. I am also vegan. I eat vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices. I avoid animal products, oil, and processed foods.
I have been interested in physical fitness for many years. I was a dance instructor for over 10 years and also taught Zumba for a few years. Unfortunately, there have also been times in my life when all I could do was walk for 5 minutes at a time because of severe chronic illnesses.
Since fully committing to a whole food plant-based lifestyle, I have way more energy, and I WANT to move my body daily. I have a deep desire to keep my body and mind active to maintain my health and reach new fitness goals. I currently enjoy running, dancing, yoga, and have also been getting into calisthenics (body-weight training).
My name is Meagan, but my friends call me Meg. I am a Mom, I am a cancer survivor and I have also suffered with several chronic conditions: severe adult-onset asthma, endometriosis, and undiagnosed chronic pain and fatigue.
Since finding my way to a whole food plant-based diet, I’m now enjoying the best health I have experienced in my entire adult life! I have regained my health, gained energy, and am eager to share my journey with others. Eating a whole food plant-based diet has changed my life and I hope to show others that living and eating this way can be simple and fun.
